Recipes

To all of you I share this delicious recipe of  Chicken and Waffles that my husband and I love. Hope you enjoy.

 

Crispy Fried Chicken

1 pack of chicken wings (remove tips)

1 tsp. salt/pepper

1 tbsp. garlic powder

1 Cup buttermilk

1 egg

1 Cup flour

1 tbsp. Tony’s seasoning1

6oz. cooking oil for frying

 

In deep frying pan on medium high heat put cooking oil on with a piece of onion in it. Wash chicken wings thoroughly, cut in half and season with salt, pepper, and garlic. In a small bowl add milk and egg mix well. In plastic bag add flour and Tony’s seasoning shake well add chicken and continue to shake. When onion starts to fry and gets brown add chicken and fry until golden brown. Put on plate with napkin to drain excess oil cover with foil to stay warm.

 

Buttermilk Waffles

1 Cup flour

½ tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. baking powder

¼ tsp. baking soda

1 tbsp. sugar pinch salt

1/3 cup unsalted butter

1 egg (room temp)

1 cup buttermilk

1 tsp. vanilla

Vegetable cooking spray

Maple syrup

Whip cream (for garnishment)

 

Spray waffle iron with cooking oil before preheating. In large bowl sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. In separate bowl melt butter add buttermilk and egg mix together well. Pour mixture in with flour and other ingredients until smooth. Batter will be thick. Spoon waffle mix into waffle iron close until cooked. Take waffles out and put on plate cover to keep warm. Add warm maple syrup and top with whip cream. You can use other toppings such as blueberries, strawberries or raspberries.
